Caltrans Division of Human Resources is seeking a Digital Content and Outreach Coordinator to lead our LinkedIn presence (of over 100k followers) and produce compelling content that showcases the people, projects, and values of Caltrans. As the primary content lead for LinkedIn, you’ll manage the platform’s content strategy including sourcing, planning, creating, and publishing posts that connect with both internal and external audiences.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across communications, HR, and other departments to plan and promote virtual and in-person events. You'll also take initiative to design graphics, storyboard videos, and pitch fresh content ideas. This position blends journalistic writing, content creation, and digital marketing in a creative and strategic environment. Working Conditions

Multiple positions may be filled from this recruitment.

This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Caltrans’s evolving telework policy. Caltrans supports telework, recognizing that in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksites with minimum notification if an urgent need arises. The selected candidate will be required to commute to the headquartered location as needed to meet operational needs. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated headquartered location, primary residence, and may be subject to CalHR regulations or applicable bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the headquartered location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

1. Scenario: You’re supporting a recruitment campaign aimed at attracting external candidates.
