We are dreamers and inventors who come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to empower and inspire each other. Imagine your future with us.

ABOUT THIS ROLE
Audible is seeking a Director, Multi-Format Production to lead the creative and operational execution of Audible’s most ambitious and innovative audio projects. Reporting to the Head of Regional Content, North America, you will oversee the team responsible for the high-quality production and delivery of multi-cast audio dramas, investigative non-fiction series, live performances, podcasts, and other hybrid audio-first storytelling formats. The Director, Multi-Format Production combines deep creative judgment with disciplined production management understanding both how to make great audio and how to lead teams that consistently deliver it. A background in directing, producing, or sound designing complex, multi-layered audio productions is desired.

ABOUT THE TEAM
The Multi-Format Production team is part of the award-winning North American Audible Studios. It produces multi-cast audio dramas, non-fiction and investigative journalism podcasts, live performances, and other immersive forms of audio storytelling. The group combines creative ambition with technical mastery — bringing together producers, sound designers, and engineers to redefine what audio can do.

As a Director, Multi-Format Production, you will..
- Lead creative and operational execution for Audible’s multi-format storytelling slate, ensuring that projects meet the highest standards of craft, collaboration, and production excellence
- Oversee end-to-end production of all multi-format projects, managing timelines, budgets, staffing, and creative delivery
- Provide creative oversight and leadership to both internal and external producers, directors, and sound designers, ensuring every project achieves the highest level of storytelling and sound design
- Collaborate closely with Creative Development and Studios leadership to translate creative concepts into executable production plans that balance ambition with feasibility
- Own production budgets, ensuring financial sustainability without compromising quality
- Lead and develop a team of producers, sound designers, and technical specialists, fostering an inclusive, high-performance creative culture
- Champion audio-first storytelling, setting creative standards for performance, sound design, and narrative innovation
- Drive innovation in format and form, exploring new techniques in spatial sound, live performance, and cross-platform storytelling
- Represent Audible externally with creative and production partners, helping attract top-tier talent and collaborators

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross-functional teams
- 8+ years of experience in audio, film, or television production, with a focus on scripted or sound-rich storytelling
