Job Description



Ulbrich Stainless Steels and Special Metals Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented Power BI Developer/Data Analyst . This entry-level role based at our corporate headquarters in North Haven, CT is ideal for individuals passionate about data visualization, analytics, and business intelligence. You will work closely with business stakeholders to transform raw data into actionable insights using Power BI and other analytical tools.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain Power BI Dashboards and reports to support business decision-making;
  • Perform data cleaning, transformation and modeling to prepare datasets for analysis;
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective visualizations;
  • Monitor and optimize report performance and implement best practices for BI solutions;
  • Assist in ad-hoc data analysis and generate insights to support operation and strategic initiatives; and
  • Document process, data models, and report standards for future reference.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience in information systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Data Analytics
  • Basic knowledge of Power BI (or similar BI tool) and data visualization principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts)
  • Understanding of ETL process and data warehousing concepts
  • Exposure to DAX and Power Query in Power BI is a plus
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
