Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a leading advisory firm who is seeking Senior SEC Reporting Consultants to join their team on a fractional basis.

Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is recruiting senior-level consultants to assist the Cherry Bekaert Advisory group. These roles are fractional, offering the opportunity to work with multiple clients, with weekly hours that may fluctuate but average out to full-time overall

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide consulting expertise in SEC financial reporting and technical accounting for a variety of clients across multiple industries.
• Lead and support projects involving complex GAAP & IFRS matters, IPO/SPAC transactions, and other SEC reporting requirements.
• Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, reconciliations, month-end close entries, accounting memos, and audit schedules for public filings (10-Q or 10-K).
• Assist clients with financial close processes, audit readiness, and technical accounting projects (ASC 480, 606, 718, 805, 815, 842).
• Adapt quickly to different ERP systems and client environments, such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SAP, Workday, Yardi, Quickbooks, and SEC reporting software such as Workiva, Toppan Merrill, or DFIN.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and active CPA license.
• Five or more years of experience in public accounting and/or industry, with a focus on SEC reporting and technical accounting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships and projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to engage with professionals at all levels.
• Flexible and collaborative, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with accounting departments and a variety of ERP systems.
• Familiarity with SEC reporting software and data analytics tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Python).
• Experience implementing financial close solutions (OneStream, FloQast).
