Description Finance Manager/ Sr. Finance Manager About the Role We're seeking a Finance Manager or Sr. Finance Manager to join a dynamic finance organization supporting multiple investment funds and related entities. This role is critical in managing entity-level accounting, valuation analysis, and financial reporting. You'll collaborate with fund administrators, auditors, and tax providers to ensure accurate and timely reporting, valuations, and investor communications. The position also involves special projects, system enhancements, and process improvements, including upgrades to financial platforms. Key Responsibilities Accounting, Reporting, and Coordination + Review and oversee fund administrators' work on financial statements, capital accounts, and investor allocations. + Manage components of the entity close process, including journal entries, NAV packages, and financial statement deliverables. + Coordinate and review capital calls, distributions, and investor notices for accuracy and compliance. + Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports for investors and internal stakeholders. + Partner with auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely audits and filings. + Support consistency in reporting across funds, upper-tier entities, and management companies. Valuation Analysis and Portfolio Metrics + Support valuation processes for portfolio companies, including fair value adjustments. + Collaborate with the investment team to analyze portfolio performance metrics. + Prepare valuation summaries and reports for quarterly reviews and investor communications. + Ensure valuation methodologies align with firm policies and accounting standards. Operational Support + Act as a day-to-day contact for fund administrators on accounting and reporting matters. + Maintain accounting records, investor data, and compliance documentation. + Coordinate reconciliations between funds, upper-tier partnerships, and management companies. Special Projects and Systems Enhancements + Lead initiatives to improve process efficiency, system functionality, and reporting automation. + Drive onboarding and workflow improvements for fund administrators. + Assist with system upgrades, data integration, and enhancements to financial platforms. + Contribute to data accuracy initiatives and new reporting capabilities. Requirements Required + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. + 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including at least 3 years in venture capital or private equity. + Strong understanding of GAAP and partnership accounting principles. + Experience with entity-level accounting and reporting, including capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations. + Proven ability to support valuation processes and interpret portfolio performance data. + Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. + Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. + Exceptional communication and leadership skills. Preferred + CPA certification (or equivalent). + Experience working with third-party fund administrators. + Knowledge of fund accounting systems and reporting platforms. + Experience with system upgrades, process automation, or data integration projects. + Familiarity with multi-entity investment structures.
